Paper Flower Tutorial - Using old Music Sheets
This is a simple craft that looks hard. We made a ton of paper flowers for a friends March wedding out of old music sheets. She had a "Sound of Music" theme. Lovely. I also use these pretties for wreaths and frames.
For the template, Google "Paper flower templates", this search will turn up a ton of different styles for you to choose from. Print out the template, trace the flower pattern onto the music sheet and cut out the petals.
I give all the petals a little "turn out" for a more realistic look by twisting the outer petal edge gently onto a narrow stick.
Roll the first, inner petal. I roll them on bamboo skewers for stability.
Begin to layer the petals as pictured.
Continue adding petals.
Turn out the outer edge of the petals as you go. Glue with a bit of hot glue to secure when you are finished (set your gun on LOW setting! I got a nasty burn doing these as it is close work).
