There is nothing that says to me "relax, summer is here" like the call of a gull. Seagulls may be considered pests in many places but I love to watch them soar and steal french fries all day long. This felted seagull is actually on a magnet. Probably the most unique fridge magnet ever created!
Prepare a rock by painting it with acrylics. Add a sand and tiny shells to the bottom with Elmer's glue.
Use white wool and shape the seagulls body. Start with an oval and add a small head and then put on a tail. The tail should be in a fan shape.
For the wing, sGhape an oval and indent one side as you felt. Add gray and black.
Roll a small beak out of yellow and felt carefully. Add a black felted ball for an eye or use a small glass bead and glue it on with Elmers (hot glue shows on wool). Felt on the wing to the body, add black to the tail.
Glue the seagull to the rock with hot glue. Be careful not to over=glue as hot glue does show.
