Pine Cone Angel Tutorial
This little sweetheart is made of completely natural materials and is wonderful tree ornament, hostess gift or package topper. There are endless varieties of angels depending on hair and wing choices. Craft a whole a tree full of them to sell at the next craft show. They cost next to nothing to make!
1 medium pine cone
1 bead for the head
1 medium size cinnamon stick
wood shavings OR wool tuft for hair
wing material: pressed leaves, milkweed pods, shells, flowers or pine cones
small permanent marker (fine tip) or paint with fine tip brush
hot glue gun (can also use tacky glue, takes longer though) Tacky glue link
Draw or paint the face onto the bead.
Glue the head to the pine cone, glue a small moss collar around the neck (covers up any hot glue showing.
Cut cinnamon sticks to length with wire cutters (works better than breaking by hand). Glue to body.
Now glue the hair of choice to the head (both wool and shavings look cute!) and the acorn cap.
Hot glue a ribbon, string or a wire loop to the upper back so it can be hung.
The wings and any floral embellishments go on last.
Selling Tip: If you want to sell these the price points can be anywhere from $4.99 to $14.99 depending on material used and the amount of detail you put into them.
Selling Tip: Use your imagination with all kinds of natural materials. People love variety and a whole tree of these would look absolutely beautiful! They sell very well if they are displayed in a group. Often, people will buy one for each woman in their family.
